Founded under the Holy Spirit Educational and Charitable Trust, established in 1996, St. Mary’s Pre-University College, Chikkamagaluru began its own journey in 2015 with a commitment to provide students with a strong academic foundation supported by discipline, values and purposeful education.
Over the years, that commitment has grown into a complete Pre-University learning environment bringing together academics, mentoring, competitive preparation, student support and campus life.

Where the Journey Began
St. Mary’s Pre-University College began its journey in Chikkamagaluru in 2015, starting out in a rented building, with a clear purpose — to create an educational environment where academic learning and personal formation could progress together.
Managed under the Holy Spirit Educational and Charitable Trust (established 1996), the institution was built around the belief that education should prepare young people not only for examinations, but also for the responsibilities and opportunities that lie beyond the classroom.
From its early years, St. Mary’s has placed emphasis on disciplined learning, strong academic fundamentals, student guidance and value-based education. These principles continue to remain central to the identity of the college today.

The college today offers Science and Commerce programmes supported by structured academics, integrated competitive preparation, regular assessment, mentoring and a campus environment designed to support the complete PU journey.
